Golden Apple Stands Against Anti-Asian Violence

We want to acknowledge the unspeakable acts of violence this week in the Atlanta area that resulted in the murder of eight people, six of whom were women of Asian descent. 

We recognize that this has happened in a time of increased hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. This is not new. This is yet another result of the dangers of white supremacy in our country. 

We are saddened and pained by this violence, and we continue to stand against this hate directed towards the AAPI community. For those of you who are part of the AAPI community, we see you, we stand with you, and we will fight alongside you for justice and equity. For those of you who are looking to do more, we encourage you to learn more from organizations like Asian Americans Advancing Justice and engage in this bystander intervention training.
